Start of Summer!!

You know the start of Summer is here when you see this guy drive down your street..........

Nolan and I were outside playing when I heard the familiar tune from a few streets away.  I immediately ran into the house to grab my camera and a dollar.  Brad had strict orders to NOT let that truck pass our house :)
When I got back out, Brad had the Popsicle man stopped outside of our house.  He noticed that I brought the camera and proceeded to make fun of me.  Has he not noticed that I have taken a picture of practically everything Nolan does for the past two years?  Men!
I carried Boo to the side of the van to see what our options were.  I was please to know that all the same treats from when I was a kid were still there.  :)  As soon as I saw the Bugs Bunny Ice Cream bar I knew that was the treat for Nolan....classic Popsicle man.

While the treat options were the same, the PRICES WERE NOT.  That silly little Bugs Bunny was $2.75 and poor Boo only had a dollar :(  So, we settled on a Jr. Bomb Pop.

Nolan is going to be just like his mommy.  He could have done without the Popsicle.  Once it started to melt he was done.  So, daddy ate it :)

Still Here

Yes, I am alive.  I know that they only people that check this here blog are the ones who are MADLY in love with my boo.  Sorry for the lack of updates.  As I mentioned before, May is by far the craziest month of my life.  I will return soon...I promise.  I wanted to do a quick post about my lack of posts because I was sifting through my old postings and noticed that last year the month of May was short on updates as well :)  When I print this years blog, I want to remember that life was CRAZY hectic.  I am afraid I will look back in 10 years and think...wow...Nolan must have had a slow cuteness month ;)

P.S.  I pulled up my pics stored on my computer so that I could add a recent picture of Boo, but there are NONE on my computer.  Just more evidence that there has not been enough time to even snap a quick pic of my boo :(

Creek Stomp

The first weekend of May will forever remind Nashvillians of the great flood.  So much was lost, but it was a time that brought our city together.  Richland Creek area was hit HARD.  This little creek is with in walking distance to our house, so this past year we have really been able to see the progress being made in neighborhood.  On the one year anniversary of the flood, we thought we would spend it at the creek that we knew was calm and quiet.  The water may have beat us down, but it can not keep us down :)
Hard to believe that this mellow creek had houses literally under water.

Daddy teaching Nolan how to find the perfect skipping rock.

 Plop :)
Perfect day spent at Richland Creek Greenway.  This creek can expect us back for more visits this summer :)

Hippity Hop

MY MOTHER'S DAY PRESENT....5 FREE MINUTES TO FINISH THIS EASTER POST :) :) :)

Yes, Easter was almost two weeks ago.  Yes, I am just now blogging.  You can expect this lack of updating to last until the end of May :)  Easter was so much fun this year.  Nolan still does not know what the Easter bunny is, but he is LOVING the toys he brings!

Here is Nolan and his best friend, Baxter.  These two boys are peas in a pod.  They love each other to pieces and fight like cats and dogs :)
I so wish I could have been there for his school Easter egg hunt :(  Luckily, he has AWESOME teachers that took pictures for me :)

These eggs were hard to find ;)
You snooze you loose booboo!  Baxter went in for the kill!
"Please open this"
"No..okay...I'll do it myself"
And he shoves it in so no one else can eat it :)
A little loving and a little ear nibble...it's what these boys are known for!
Cuteness on the playground.  Thank you so much ladies for taking these pictures for me!!!!

Easter morning was as cute as could be!  Nolan does not know who the Easter bunny is...in fact, I have never taken him to see the Easter bunny.  However, he does love the presents that he brings :)  When I was a kid, I remember the bunny hiding our baskets through out the house.  I want to do this with Nolan, but at this age he doesn't know what to be looking for :)  So, I pulled a Hansel and Gretel and left a trail of Easter eggs for him.  At the end he found this............
And this was how excited he was...................
Funny or what???  Once he woke up a little he started to have fun looking at his stuff.  He loved the golf clubs so much that I had to MAKE him look at what was in his basket.

After we were finished with our basket shindigs we went to church.  Here is a picture of my handsome man.  Ohhh, I could just eat his face right off!!!

After church we did the family thing.  We went to Aunt Pam's, and then to the Gibbons family function at the park.  Nolan played his little heart out, and went the entire day without a nap.   The following pictures show his up and down emotions due to pure EXHAUSTION :)
