Sick Baby

My sweet smiley baby is not feeling well. Nolan has a bad cold. Chest congestion, snotty nose, sneezing, slight temp. He has been acting pitiful for a few days now. Breaks my heart. Luckily, we are on Christmas break...he is going to have some cuddle time with mama for the next few days.

Looking like he really does not feel well. This boy wears his emotions allllllll over his face.

This picture just tears my heart up. You can tell he is not feeling well. (thanks Grandma for the warm jammies)

EVERYTHING is in his mouth these days...possibly the reason for his cold. He needs to learn how to wash those hands ;) I think he is teething. Drool for days and chewing on his hands...aren't those the signs?

On a side note, we went to the doctor yesterday just to make sure our cold isn't something worse. Nolan weighed in at a whopping 18.3 pounds! He is such a big baby. Not just "fat"...he is LONG as well. After talking to my room mom today at our Christmas party, I don't feel as worried about it. She said that her oldest son wight that exact amount at 4 months as well. He was in my science class two years ago and is a very normal looking kid! Not a Goliath! HAHA!

See those feet? Nolan loves them! He uses them to help grab the toys on his baby gym. Guess the chunky monkey title is appropriate! ;)

SANTA!!!

Last week we took Nolan to see Santa Claus. We went a few times actually! Saturday was the planned day to go. Unfortunately, everyone in the Green Hills area decided to go to the mall at the exact time we did. Drove around for a half hour to find a parking spot and drove right back home. Sunday was much less crowded...only about 20 kids in line before us :)

45 minutes later...WE SAW SANTA!!!!!!

Picture turned out dark. Brad had turned off the flash :) We danced around like crazy people to try to make this kid smile. Usually, it is soooo easy. He is such a happy baby. On this day, however, he was having no part in it.

Finally got the flash working, but the picture is a little blurry! Ohh well, we have the professional ones that we paid and arm and a leg for. Someone is for sure making some money this holiday season!

Waiting in line with daddy. His reindeer bib was soaked by the time we left. Teething much????

4 Months Old

Nolan Davis Smith is now 4 months old! Can you believe it??? Seems like just yesterday we were here.............
He doesn't even look like the same baby...definitely put on a few pounds :) He notices me now...something I love. If he hears my voice, he will search for me in the room...lock eyes on me...and just stare. He LOVES to be talked to, and will talk back in his sweet little baby voice. HE LAUGHS OUT LOUD. The funniest sound in the world. His face lights up and he oozies happiness! Tonight he laughed out loud at his mama for the first time. Usually he will give me a BIG open mouth grin, but tonight I got some sound! Daddy was a little jealous...making the baby laugh is his thing...NOT ANYMORE :)
Nolan is officially in 6 month clothing...chunker. He also got his first cold. Sad, sick little baby. I think I was more upset than he was about it ;) Bath time is still a big hit. LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it!!!! Currently we are at war with a case of eczema...so far, the eczema is winning...aagghh!!!
We just love our little man...love? Not quite the right word. Not sure I can put it into words. If you are a mama, you understand. He is the BEST thing to happen to us!!!!
