The flying part is not really what makes me nervous. I have flown about 3 times a year for almost ten years now. It's not my favorite thing to do, but I do it. Now, throw an almost 8 month old into the mix and things get hairy. As my sweetness was screaming and throwing himself on the floor today, (flashback to his Aunt Elise's memorable tantrums) I had a sudden urge to be sick. I am going to be that mom. The one who has a screaming baby that won't shut up. You have been there. Sitting in the waiting area minding your own business when a stressed out, over worked, hasn't slept in months mom and and her new little bundle come and sit near you. You ask how old he is and tell her how cute he is....all a while thinking "please don't be sitting near me on this flight". I am guilty. In fact, there have been occasions where I just want to say "do you want me to do that for you. I can. Pop a passie in that mouth." PAY.BACK.THIS.IS.PAYBACK. I may be getting my panties in a wad about nothing. He could be just wonderful. However, I am not counting on it. We are in the very back stuck by the window. First ones on....last ones off. Mom, if you are reading...please have a tasty beverage waiting at the gate :)

Easter Evening
We ended our Easter Sunday with a trip to Dragon Park. To say it was a pretty day is an understatement. It was a PERFECT day.
Nolan like to swing, and so do I.

Hoppy Easter
Easter is by far more exciting when you have kids. Yes, I am Christian and enjoy celebrating the Risen Christ, however I like the Easter Bunny, too! We woke up to find the Easter Bunny had left some goodies for Nolan. My childhood Easter Bunny always hid our baskets, and I LOVED IT!!! Maybe next year :)

I had to WAKE Nolan up at 9:00 this morning. He was not all that happy about it :)

Getting his loot. He knew exactly what to do. Grab the basket, and pull out everything that is inside. He is a quick learner.

"YOU GOT ME BOOKS?" Does that not look like what he is thinking??? Sorry kid, you are going to get books for every occasion. Your mom is a teacher.

"ANYTHING INSIDE OF THIS EGG?" Nope, but you can't have an Easter Basket without any eggs.

He loves this little thing. Last month when we had his heart echo the tech lady used something like this to keep him still. He liked it, so I bought him one. It starts early :)

Booboo and I before church. He looks like a little man here. It is so hard to dress little boys for Easter. On one hand, I hated putting him in a collared shirt and dress pants. On the other hand I was not going to put him in something smocked with knee socks ;)

Nolan and Daddy being silly. I should have guessed by this pic that today was going to be an interesting day. My usually smiley, laughing, funny baby was not going to smile for anyone today. I am serious. Straight faced all day. Actually kinda funny.

Me and my love. He is going to have my nose I think. My straight eye brows, eye shape, round face. He is going to have daddy's chin, ears, and mouth shape. Eye color....not sure where that came from.

He can either join us or act like we embarrass him....pick one. We are goofy people.

We can be civilized as well.

Not kidding about the smiling thing.

And still....not smiling.

He liked these egg things out side. I really just wanted to get a nice pic of he and his great-grandmommy outside. I made every silly sound in the world, and still no smile.

He and his great-great aunt and uncle. Still not smiling. However, he loved being held by Aunt Judy and Uncle Ronnie :)

Mama's Little Cowboy
Wowzers! It seems as though Nolan is doing new things everyday. In the past few weeks, he has learned to sit up and play. No help from mama needed. Tonight, he sat in the kitchen floor while I made dinner. Cute thang in only his diaper and that big smile of his. His personality is really shining through, and I hope it sticks. He is soooooooo happy. Smiles on a drop of a hat, loves people...watching them and talking to them, studies everything and everyone, knows what he wants and will work forever to try to get it...I could go on and on.

I have mixed emotions when he does something new. On one hand, I want to shut him up in a little box and not let him out. I love this age....gummy smile and all. On the other hand, I want to watch him grow and develop. I can't wait to hear mama and dada. I can't wait to see his first tooth pop through. I can't wait to see him take his first step. Once again, I could go on and on.

Time is moving whether it be fast or slow...it's moving. I try to enjoy every minute of being a mother...it is ever changing!
