Future Science Wizzzzzzzzzz :)

To celebrate Nolan's 1st birthday, we took a trip to the Adventure Science Center (Cumberland Science Museum for you old skool peeps). Our original plan was to go to the zoo, but with record high temps this summer we decided to do something indoors. The three of us got in for under $15!!! Pays to be a teacher in the state of TN, and as long as Nolan stays under two years old for the rest of his life we should be able to do things pretty cheap as a family :) At first, I thought the science center would be too over Nolan's head, but I was defiantly wrong. He LOVED being there. His new found freedom...walking...really helped him explore and have a good time. Of course, he didn't understand the meaning behind most of the things we did, but he was stimulated and intrigued by everything!

The bad part about going places as a family is that there is no one to take a picture of the three of us. Guess I need to get over the fear of trusting someone else to capture a cute picture :)

Nolan loved this thing. It is essentially a WACK A MOLE. He loved hitting the germ thingys as they popped up!

Daddy and Nolan trying to climb the seriously tight stair case. I had a hard time climbing that thing with a dress on....bad outfit choice :)

We finally made it to the middle section of the play structure. Nolan loved it! Brad loved it even more. He climbed all the way to the top while Nolan and I played.

And we took a picture. Nolan is in love with his daddy at allllll times :)

He loved looking at me through this net. Not sure why he found it so funny, but he had strangers cracking up!

Look! He found a dinosaur bone!

Not interested in crawling in the tube

Respiratory system looks good :)

Getting the best medicine there is....a good cuddle!

He was mesmerized by the lights on the floor. They represent the nervous system.

He went through this curtain only to come right back out again :)

Daddy teaching him about the importance of dental care :)

This was neat. It's a germ fighting game. Nolan liked to watch daddy play.

Here we are inside the star something or another....can't remember the name. It was super cool!

Inferred reader. Guess Nolan has a hot head. What do you think? The science teacher in me flipped when I saw this picture. What an awesome way to show heat transfer. Nolan's head transferred some heat to the stroller, and Brad's hand transferred heat to the stroller handle :)
