As you already know, little chunk LOVES a bath! His "whale of a tub" is getting smaller by the day! One of Brad's coworkers and his lovely wife bought Nolan a monkey towel...how appropriate! Thanks Steve and Stephanie!

Dragon Park
This evening we took Nolan to Dragon Park. Technically I don't think it's called "Dragon Park", but that's what everyone calls it so I'm sticking to it! I remember going to Dragon Park as a kid with my brother and sister. I love taking my bubba to places his parents use to go to...there is just something neat about that! Notice he wore his dragon sleeper to fit the occasion :)
Nolan offered to take our picture...told ya he was gifted :)

Family picture...try not to notice the fact that I need to wash my hair and put on some make up...in the worst way!
Visit with Malea
Today we went to lunch with Malea. Malea and I have been friends since birth...or so it seems. We have experienced life's greatest moments together, and I am glad she is going to be in my little man's life as well. Look at her with Nolan...doesn't she look like a natural??? :) She didn't even freak out when he peed all over her!
6 Weeks Old
Yes, it is hard to imagine, but my little guy is 6 weeks old! Time flies when you are having fun I guess! It is so neat to see how he has changed in these short weeks, and that is one of the reasons I love this blog! I am not a scrapbooker or a journal keeper. To be honest, I have a hard time remembering to fill out his baby book info! I can see pictures of my boy from anywhere at anytime. Technology is a great thing!
The past 6 weeks he has been:
~smiling (mostly at his crazy daddy) on purpose. He will smile the biggest grin and coo...my sweet boy!
~Following you with his eyes. Nolan watches things now. He will follow you around the room with his eyes.
~Sleeping through the night (sometimes). He is not consistent yet, but it's a start. He will sleep for 5-7 hours straight. When he makes the decision to sleep it is wonderful!!!!
~Recognizes my voice. Lately, Nolan will turn his head towards my direction when he hears me talking. Not sure if he does it to Brad's voice yet. I will have to watch for that one!
~wearing 3 month clothing. It's official folks. My chunk can not wear newborn stuff anymore. It is all nicely packed away for the next little one. (Sorry little angel baby girl in waiting...you have lots of blue, green and orange in your future!)
~Staying awake longer during the day. Nolan now is awake for a few hours and then naps for a few hours. So, then you ask why mommy does not get more done around the house....huuummm????
~wearing size 2 diapers!
Can not wait to see all the changes he will be going through in the next 6 weeks!!!

Sunny Sunday!
Well, today was the first sunny day in over a month...not really but it seems like it! It has been such a rainy September. Hopefully all this rain means that we are going to have a very colorful fall! I suddenly have the urge to tell you about how the leaves don't really turn colors...they just loose their chlorophyll. Guess that means I need to go back to work...teacher at heart!
We started our day at the Cracker Barrel of all places. We NEVER eat there, but for some reason we gave it a chance. Let's just say we were not missing anything. We then went to hang out and Brad's dad's house. It was beautiful outside. Perfect weather if you ask me. They live a little outside the city. It was so nice to sit outside surrounded by trees and sunshine!
Brad practicing his camera skills
Can you believe all those windows? Makes for a nice view from the inside!
Grandad and Nanny's cats...some of them anyway. One day Nolan can play with them...if he isn't allergic like his mommy!
Nolan and Grandad
After our visit, we went to Opry Mills. My soul reason for going was a Gigi's Cupcake. Their retail locations are not open on Sunday, but I assumed their mall kiosk would be....WRONG! You could imagine my disappointment. So, we walked around the mall and snagged some pictures...ENJOY!

Notice Nolan's outfit change. I heard him doing his business inside the Carter's store, so I went to change him. Little man exploded his diaper, and mommy got her first mall restroom changing table experience. I broke a sweat trying to change the SCREAMING baby with poop all over him all while the ladies in the restroom stared at me with pity! To top it off, I grabbed the wipe container that was almost empty and found that I still had a newborn change of clothes. His big butt does NOT fit into newborn anymore...thank goodness I had a random sleeper in there. :)

Monkeyin' Around
Today I could not resist taking a few pictures of my boy. He just looked too cute. Once again...I thought we would try some pictures with his monkey friends.

Photo Shoot Friday
See this kid???? You know how you can position most newborns in that cute little butt up in the air pose?? Well, this one is having no part in that! Every time you put him on his tummy and tuck his little legs under to make his but stick up he stretches out. He will grab the blanket, plant his foot on the ground, and scooch himself forward. Yes, this little 6 week old is an over achiever and is trying to crawl (or so his mommy likes to think)!
I tried to take some pics of him sitting up in his crib. Thought it would be cute to take pictures of my boy in is stripes with his striped monkey friend. Started out okay then he quickly got annoyed...wonder who he gets that from??? :)
